Why HELLO!! It’s been awhile since I checked in with you guys and I am happy to report that all is well, and I am on track 🙂 Busy, but well. The kids got out of school about 2 weeks ago and we actually pulled them out of their last two days so we could head up to MI for a family wedding.
The weather was AMAZING! Being from Florida this is the time we are hot, hotter, and super hot. We were gone for 9 days and I think I ran about 4 xs, which wasn’t bad considering it was a vacation! One run was 4 miles and another was over 6 miles – that is a long distance for me! And I even got my hubby out we me for most of the runs too 🙂 It was just too nice outside to not take advantage of the weather.
We ate out much more than usual, but I tried to make good choices. When I got home, I was up 2 lbs, but I had those off within 2 days – so that was good. Now that the kids are home, my schedule is all messed up! And the hardest part is that they are not interested in getting up and motivated for me to make my 9:30 Jazzercise class. SO, I have been working out at home. I have been running, went swimming once, and have been doing the elliptical.
I do feel like I get a better workout when I am at class, but this is working out this week…when I get the kids in a camp – I will be back to my core class and 7lbs weights! YEP, I am officially up to 7lbs at Jazzercise and I love it! I like feeling strong 🙂
Today the weather was cloudy and rainy, so the kids and I tried to chance a down pour and head out. They rode their bikes and I ran – and since it wasn’t steamy and gross outside – we actually made it just over 3 miles!
I have been good about drinking my water daily – however I find I am MUCH better at it when I work out in the morning…then my mid-afternoon I am done. With just having it beside me and my workouts being later, I tend to take longer to get it all in. I have also been drinking a coconut water a day – I am excited to say that I officially LIKE IT!
I have also been cooking more with coconut oil…I haven’t been daring enough to just take spoonfuls yet. but I am loving cooking with it.
I am happy with my food choices and my working out so far this summer and I hope to keep going in the right direction. I am at the moment down about 4 lbs – I would be THRILLED with another 4 lbs, but I am not sure my body will allow it – but I can promise you I will keep trying 🙂
