So, I told you guys last week that I was late on this whole Coconut Oil and Coconut Water thing being great for you. I have seen it in stores, but I never pay attention. But, because I have had two dear friends and a complete stranger actually (I met her at a Blogger Conference) tell me that I WAS CRAZY (I hear that regularly I guess 😉 ) that I haven’t tried Coconut Water.
Why is it good for you? I guess it is filled with all these amazing things that our bodies need! Oh, there is more to it, but that was I really “heard” so I jumped on the band wagon. I grabbed three different flavors and I am working on having one a day.
I got these three from Amazon:
- Vita Coco Peach and Mango – check it out on Amazon by clicking HERE
- Vita Coco Lemonade – check it out on Amazon by clicking HERE
- Vita Coco – Traditional Flavor – check it out on Amazon HERE
I got three flavors as I was a bit nervous that the plain might be weird. I have had the Peach Mango and Lemonade so far and the Lemonade is by far my favorite at the moment.
My next test was the Fooducate app – I will admit that I am fearful to use it most of the time because I don’t want it telling me that I am eating and drinking horrible things. YES, I know that if I learn that it is bad I will change it – but what will I do with all the stuff in my house already?! LOL
Vita Coco scored pretty good on Fooducate:
And for those of you that appreciate a bit more detail on Coconut water here are the details 😉
Vita Coco is made of five essential electrolytes, has more potassium than a banana, low acidity, no fat, no sugar added, and no cholesterol. Vita Coco is the natural, refreshing way to hydrate and replenish.
Vita Coco captures the taste of the tropics In 85 tropical countries, millions of people drink coconut water straight from the coconut. Many say Vita Coco tastes “just like sticking a straw in a coconut.” Enjoy Vita Coco anytime and everywhere their unique processing and packaging system captures and retains the exotic flavor and nutritional benefits of coconut water for 12 months so you can enjoy Vita Coco anytime and everywhere.
I did have a reader mention that she really liked Goya Coconut Water – that she grew up on it and that is her top pick. As you can see, I have a bit on Vita Coco to work my way through, but I will admit – I will try Goya next! Why not, right?! 🙂 Jen also told me to try Coconut Coffee?! Who knew that existed!? I will definitely be trying that though…you can’t go wrong with coconut and coffee!
Do you drink Coconut Water? If so – why? What is your favorite brand?
